In finnish culture, Jumala, a finnish word meaning god, was used much before christian religion influence of the finnish supreme god who was over everything. He has been assosiated many times with Ukko - god.

Ukko is a finnish god of lightning and thunder. Thunder is said to occur when Ukko drives a stony road with his carriages so fast that the sparkles fly.

Ukko ascended to the supreme god who was put faith on in ilnesses and curing bleeding wound.
