Aphrodite in a greek mythology is a goddess of love, beauty and sexual rapture. She is told to born when cronos castrated his father uranus ja threw his genitals into ocean.
From the foam of the mutilated genitals was borned the foams of the ocean and from them was borned Aphrodite, who ocean transported into Cyprus.
After born of the Aphrodite, Zeus was afraid that gods would go to war with eachother to win over Aphrodite, so he married Aphrodite to Hephaetus, to the blacksmith of gods, who was most balanced of them.
Aphrodite's festives were spent much is greek and specially in Athena. Her high priestess were women who celebrated their goddess in the form of free sex.
